Eric Clapton @ Nippon Budokan

Eric Clapton Live at Bodokan 2025 was held for eight shows, including additional shows, from April 14th. On April 27th, the final show, we took an ardent Eric Clapton fan from the medical institution where he was recuperating to the Nippon Budokan. As this was an artist’s concert, with many dedicated fans who were determined to watch every show, the area around the venue was filled with excitement.

The road and sidewalk in front of the Nippon Budokan are separated by a fence to ensure the safety of visitors, but if you stop under the clock tower and disembark in your wheelchair, security staff will open part of the fence where the ramp is installed, allowing you to proceed smoothly into the venue. In addition, staff from the event management will guide you to the wheelchair seats.

We arrived at the venue to pick them up just as we could hear the encore songs playing. After the show, many of the audience members leave at the same time, so the fences between the road and the sidewalk are more firmly connected to ensure safety. However, just like when we arrived, the security guards were kind enough to remove the ties and secure the passage for us.

His doctor gave him the permission to go out, the nurses accompanied him throughout the trip, and above all, his family and friends provided enthusiastic support, making this Eric Clapton concert visit a reality. It’s a start of his journey back to home, still feeling the afterglow of the concert.
